Terms of Agreement
All quotes are valid for 30 days from date on proposal. Lead-time for products is typically 3 to 6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the project and current order backlog.
The acceptance of an order from the customer constitutes acceptance by the customer of all terms and conditions contained within the contract. Any modification of the terms and conditions must be in writing and accepted by the Decora Doors. All amendments to the scope of the work on this contract must be in writing, dated and signed by a company representative and the customer.
Installation
Decora Doors highly recommends that all doors be installed by a competent professional such as a trim carpenter who has experience installing pre-hung doors.
Warranty
For ninety (90) days from the date of delivery, Decora Doors, LLC will repair free of charge, any defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty on working parts (hinges, latches, etc.) is for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery. This warranty does not cover any work performed by the customer and/or any third party without the express prior approval of Decora Doors, LLC. Decora Doors is not responsible for installation or finishing not performed by us; or any other changes or modification, to any of our products after delivery. The customer must allow Decora Doors to correct any warranty issues that may arise.
Service is available by contacting Decora Doors at (214) 495-0276. There are no other warranties expressed or implied, and Decora Doors accepts no liability for consequential damages of any nature or kind.
Payment Method
All checks and/or payments for labor must be made payable to Decora Doors. A surcharge of $25 (or the maximum allowed by law) will be assessed on all returned checks. The customer agrees to pay all collection fees, legal fees, and court costs should non-payment result in action to collect a debt.
Any invoice not paid within 30 days will incur a late fee at an interest rate of 18% per year (1.5% per month).
Cancellation of an Order
All Decora Doors custom hidden doors are custom built to the customer’s exact specifications. If necessary, an order may be cancelled within two days of the order date to receive a full refund and must be received in writing. After 48 hours, an order is considered in production and therefore, it cannot be cancelled and is non-refundable.
Shipping
Production lead time is 4 to 6 weeks after a signed order is received. Your order will be shipped via FEDEX Freight or other Common Freight Carrier. Typical shipping time is 2-4 days. Doors can be shipped to a home or business address. They can also be shipped to the local FEDEX Freight terminal for customer pickup at a significant savings on the shipping charges.
All Decora Doors products are shipped with freight insurance. It is the customer’s responsibility to inspect the shipping crate and note any physical damage on the waybill upon delivery (or upon taking possession at the freight terminal). If there is any apparent damage, it must be noted on the shipper’s acceptance document. Any hidden damage must reported to Decora Doors within 48 hours of delivery. In the event of any shipping damage, Decora Doors will repair or replace the door at Decora Doors sole discretion. If shipping damage is not reported in the above stated terms, Decora Doors cannot be held responsible for the damages.
After receipt of your door, if it is not going to be installed right away, it should be stored and handled as a piece of fine furniture in a stable environment. As with other furniture, wood flooring or cabinets, they should not be subjected to extreme heat/cold or humidity variations.
